My Mounjaro Journey Week 23 - Bad Times, Haribo & High Aspirations

Hi Everyone

I've had a busy week so the blog is going to be short and sweet today; just like me.

Now, I can't lie, I've had a bad week.  The suppression on 7.5mg is really high for the first couple of days and nothing in the fridge or food cupboard is tempting me.  So, I've been eating crap for the majority of the week.

I do try and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but, with the exception of a breakfast, I'm struggling to finish my meals.  However, I'm still craving sweet things like sweets and ice cream so, this week, I've scoffed a bag of Haribo Tangfastics, a slab of chocolate cake and half a tub of Dairy Milk ice cream.

If I want to be able to maintain my weight once I've got to target, I need to be able to eat well and refrain from snacking.  At the moment, I'm not doing either and it's just as well I take multivitamins and cod liver oil. There's a danger of malnutrition whilst using Mounjaro so it's vital to eat a healthy, well balanced diet.

I've always said that I'd be happy to live on toast and cake and I've been quite close to doing exactly that. I really need to refocus.  It doesn't help that I've stopped recording everything I eat into my Fitbit app.  However, the Mounjaro is clearly doing its job because I'm still losing weight.

Here are this weeks stats:

Weight  - 13st 3.5lbs
Mounjaro dose - 7.5mg
BMI - 35.1
Total loss - 2 stone 11.5lbs

Miles walked - 60
Alcohol free - 6 months

I hit two targets this week, I walked 60 miles in June  and I'm 6 months alcohol free.  Targets clearly work so, my target for the next week is to record everything I eat, avoid snacking and cook dinner, even if I don't want it.  Wish me luck!
